Ok, so the man was right.

For those that don't know me I think a little insight to my background will help you when you are reading my blog. I am a middle aged woman who has battled with dyslexia and ADHD her entire life. I have always been labeled "the problem one, the one who can't sit still, or the one who can't focus. Oh by the way did I mention that I was legally blind as a child. No, well I was. OK so now I think you understand where I am going with this. yes I had a hard childhood, and an adult life for that matter. My struggles have not changed much over the years. I still can't sit still, I still have a hard time focusing. (Oh look a chicken) ha ha. I still battle with my dyslexia. My dyslexia is not so much with how I see things, now that I have sight. (lol) My dyslexia comes when I am speaking. Having a conversation with me can be quite interesting or taxing depending on how one feels at that time.
An example of the dyslexia: Today I was speaking with my husband about how many bird houses we should have for our back yard. I asked him Well how many bird cages do you think we should get for the yard. The key word was cages. I meant houses. My dear husband just Laughed. I love that about him.
I always tried to hide these problems that I have. I have always been ashamed of them. As I get older I find that these are not problems, but mere inconveniences. They are what made me the person I am today. I am a hard working woman who loves her family and friends. In other words, God made me just the way he wanted me. I see now the man was right.
